Country shutters has evolved from an architectural and interior design background, spanning some 20 years.

Based in Surrey we offer our bespoke design service to clients in London and across the Home Counties including Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex, Dorset and Berkshire. All of our home consultations are free and so why not contact us today for a free quote and consultation.

We supply all of our clients with illustrative drawings to show how your shutters will look in your home. All of our shutters are made to measure exclusively for each customer. We guarantee these from defective manufacture for 3 years. As we manufacture our shutters in Europe & China our delivery time is 4-5 weeks.

We use two factories to manufacture our shutters. Nien Made are the world’s largest manufacturer of plantation shutters and they are based in China.

Our Limewood range of shutters are handmade in our European factory, which use locally grown Basswood, responsibly sourced.

Dominic Wingent
Director

With a background in consumer electronics spanning some 20 years, working for well known Japanese corporations. Originally setting up country sales divisions for Ricoh Europe and moving onto Pioneer UK, as head of Business Development and managing national accounts, within the UK and Ireland. After a slowdown in the economy, he changed from consumer electronics to plantation shutters, becoming Sales Manager at S:craft, the UK’s largest independent Shutter supplier. In partnership with Laura he has now set up Country Shutters on the knowledge and experience he has attained.

David Davis
Sales Manager

David started his career in the Army, rising to Regimental Sergeant Major. After leaving he embarked on a new career in sales. He is amiable and approachable, dedicated to our customers throughout the project and his aftercare services are second to none. We are proud to have him on board, as our Bournemouth Sales manager.

Trevor
Fitter

A qualified carpenter, with over 30 year’s experience, Trevor has great knowledge of fitting and installing. Based in Bournemouth, helping David with our new office.

Steve
Fitter

A qualified carpenter with an exceptional eye to detail. His knowledge of our shutters is superb, and his fitting is even better. Not only does he fit shutters, Steve is also one of our surveyors.

Laura Patten
Architect BArch(Man).ARB

Laura is a fully qualified Architect with her own practice based in Farnham, Surrey. She has over 15 years experience on a wide variety of projects ranging from clients such as Tesco, BAE systems and is now focusing her time on high end residential projects. Passionate about design, Laura plays an active role in the day to day running of the business including our unique design service.

Harvey Wingent
Head Carpenter

Harvey is a fully qualified carpenter and has worked with us for many years on a variety of projects. His knowledge and understanding is second to none and provides our clients with a truly professionally fit.

Derek
Head Fitter

With over 30 years experience in both the blinds and shutters, there is not much Derek does not know when it comes to fitting shutters and blinds. A fully qualified carpenter, having worked alongside shutter and blind manufacturers, he brings a great wealth of experience.

Peter
Fitter

Manufacture trained in both shutters and blinds, with years of fitting experience. Peter has been with us from almost the start and helped us build our company.
